A good sized
metal commemorative medallion to mark Hitler’s appointment as chancellor
in 1933.
One side
features bust of Hitler, the reverse features a large swastika with oak
leaves (similar to the rejected party badge design by Julius Streicher
from the 1920s). Size is
about 50mm diameter.
Sculptor/designer
name also present. Not seen
one of these before. |

The medal is 75
mm diameter and shows on the front side the profile off Reichsmarschall
Göring looking left., around his head is the lettering "DER
OBERBEFEHLSHABER DER LUFTWAFFE
and - REICHSMARSCHALL GöRING at the bottom.
The
reverse shows the flying
Luftwaffe eagle (head to right) with the lettering " FÜR AUSGEZEICHNETE
LEISTUNGEN IM TECHNISCHE
DIENST DER LUFTWAFFE". The medal is
made from zinc that was silvered .
