WW2 Gold Wound Badge
L/13
The Gold Wound
Badges have now become very expensive and can fetch over 150
pounds.
For sale here a
genuine L/13 badge for a third of the price! This is a late war produced badge
in zinc by Paul Meybauer.
Finish is quite dull now and some repair to hook. Good crisp detail as to be
expected. |

Wound Badge Legion Condor 1936
silver - damaged
Another rare
wound badge here being the Legion Condor type in Silver, for the Germans
who fought in the Spanish Civil War 1936-39.
When in top
condition this badge retails for over 100 pounds. This badge is offered at
a third this price.
This example
has some damage in the form of some edge cracks and a small crack where
the helmet meets the body.
These do not really detract from the overall impressive appearance
- look at the high detail swastika and helmet
features.
Badge is non
ferrous made from copper/brass base which is plated. Unusual pin assembly
but I have seen this style before. |

Minesweepers Badge
Tombak badge
with good detail. Badge is
slightly vaulted/convex.
The wreath and
eagle are in a rich brown tone with some silver visible on the exploding
mine. Some signs of green
verdigris and maybe a replaced pin hence very low price for a nice
badge. |

WW2 Wound Badge
I would
normally describe this as a Black Grade wound badge that has lost its
finish. However, I don’t
think it was ever painted and the front appears to have a gilt like
appearance similar to the Gold Wound Badge. Genuine piece either never
finished or made as ersatz gold
class. |

War Merit Cross with Swords 1st
Class conversion
Unusual item. This was a 2nd Class
KVK that has been converted to a 1st class by the addition of a
brass pin to the rear. Could
be a wartime conversion but most likely done for use by re-enactor or film
prop.
Visually very
attractive. |

HANS SCHEMM
SA GRUPPENFÜHRER - SOLID BADGE BY DESCHLER &
SOHN
A solid, weighty badge that
looks much like a coin - except that the very crisply detailed, full head
profile image with high relief.
Front depicts the bust of SA
Gruppenführer Hans Schemm.
Measures about 36mm diameter and has a fine
patina to the dark, bronze obverse surface. The reverse is smooth except
for the mounting plate for the pin which is marked by the famous maker
Deschler & Sohn of Munich.
Schemm was Gauleiter of
Bayerische Ostmark and a friend of Hitler.
After his death in a plane crash
in 1935, Hitler had this commemorative badge struck in his
memory.
The motto reads “Haltet einander
die Treue, Hans Schemm” (Hold True to One
Another”) |

Hitler Youth HJ Kreissieger 1938 National Trade
Competition Badge in Box
Nice example of the HJ
Kreisseiger Badge in genuine LDO case.
White Enameled with the Wording
Kreissieger 1938 with Superimposed Eagle and Cog Wheel with HJ Enamelled
Badge on top of the cog wheel Maker G Brehmer
Markneukirchen.
As normal for the Brehmer badge,
small enamel damage to top of the triangle but this does not detract and
is fairly common.
Black leatherette WW2 LDO case
which alone is worth around £90.
This is from my own
collection.
